Passed peacefully away at Saint Luke’s on February 20, 2013, Mary MacDonald, aged 94 years, after a lifetime of love, laughter and kindness to her family and all who knew her. Predeceased by her husband Duncan MacDonald, her “daughter” niece Judith (Probert) Smith, her parents Robert and Anne-Marie Codner, and deceased members of the Codner and MacDonald families. Left with loving memories are her “son” nephew Stephen (Maureen) Probert; step-sons: Stanley (Margie) MacDonald, Alexander J. MacDonald and Duncan (Linda) MacDonald; step-daughter Mary (Albert) Rennie; son-in-law Gord Smith; special niece Noreen Press; sister Ethel Lamonica; sisters-in-law: Jessie Walker, Mary McKinnon, and Kay Steadman; all their children and grandchildren; and a large circle of relatives and friends including those in Beta Sigma Phi. A special thank you to the wonderful staff at Saint Luke’s for their kindness and compassionate care for Mary. Visitation will take place at Caul’s Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road on Friday, February 22nd between 2–4 p.m., and 7–9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Corpus Christi Church, Waterford Bridge Road on Saturday, February 23rd at 11:30 a.m. Inurnment will take place at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Mary’s memory may be made to Saint Luke’s Homes or a charity of one’s choice.
