Passed peacefully away at the Carbonear General Hospital on Sunday, February 17, 2013, Alma L. Parsons of Carbonear, age 92 years. Predeceased by husband: Mark; son: Harold; daughter-in-law: Pat; granddaughter: Maria; brothers: Harold, Wallace, Max and Alf; sisters: Beatrice and Eva. Left to mourn, daughter: Pauline (Albert) Penney, Wallaceburg, ON; two sons: Stan (Marie), Bristol’s Hope and David (Sharon), Carbonear; eight grandchildren: Kimberley (Robert), Jason (Lylla), Carolyn (Dennis), Mark, Brant (Jennifer), Dean (Jen), Renee (Jason) and Madison; great-grandchildren: Natasha, Erica, Aiden, Kaitlyn and Lena Paige; sister: Pearl (Harold), Grand Bend, ON; sister-in-law: Florence Parsons, Carbonear; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Rested at Noel's Funeral Home, Water Street, Carbonear. Rev. Brian Colbourne conducted the funeral service on Wednesday, February 20 at Bethany United Church, Carbonear. Interment took place in Bethany United Church Cemetery, Carbonear. Donations in her memory may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association.
