Mrs. Gurdev Kaur Basran aged 76 years passed away peacefully at 12:58 p.m. on Tuesday, February 19, 2013 in Royal Inland Hospital, Kamloops, B.C.

Mrs. Gurdev Kaur Basran was born on July 18, 1936 in Punjab, India. She immigrated to Canada in 1977 with her son and three daughters to join her husband in Kamloops. She has resided in Kamloops ever since. She was a house wife and worked very hard to raise her children. She was very involved in the Sikh community with her volunteer work at the Sikh Temple. She was loved by each and everyone in the community.

Mrs. Gurdev Kaur Basran is survived by her loving husband Mr. Teja Singh Basran, son Dial Basran and family, daughters Kuldeep (Jagdeep) Sangra, Kulbeer (Jasbir) Khabra, Slinder (Inderjit) Uppal and twelve grandchildren, Harp, Harm, Sunny, Sandy, Mike, Gavin, Preety, Raman, Bobby, Lisha, Daniel and Ranvir. Also survived by her nephews, nieces, brother and sister and many more relatives and friends.

Funeral Services will be held in the Schoening Funeral Chapel located at 513 Seymour Street, Kamloops at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 24, 2013.

Cremation services will be held at Pine Grove Crematorium followed by the religious ceremony at the Sikh Cultural Society Gurdwara, 700 Cambridge Crescent, Kamloops.
