Passed away peacefully at the home of her daughter in Green’s Harbour, on Monday, February 18, 2013, Lizzie Bishop aged 92 years. Predeceased by her husband, Jack (December 1999); infant son, Jack (November 1944) and infant daughter, Alma Rosalind (May 1947). Leaving to mourn are her son, Max (Patsy) Bishop; daughter, Judy (Howard) Smith; grandchildren: Maxine (Phillip) Drover, Dennis (Erin) Bishop, Jonathan (Angela) Bishop, Melissa (Gerry) Higdon, Kathy (Jason) Stock; great-grandchildren: Brandon and Bobbie Drover, Julian, Jack and Sarah Bishop, Evan Higdon, Caden and Preston Stock; brothers-in-law: Harrison (Alma) Bishop, Reuben (Dorothy, deceased) Bryant; sister-in-law, Nellie (Alan, deceased) Reid as well as many nieces and nephews of the Bishop, George and Penney Families, many friends, both far and wide, from years spent in Florida and camping at Bishop’s Field. Special thank you to nurse, Jennifer, of Whitbourne Clinic, and Dr. Paul Bonisteel for all of your help. Resting at Cavendish Community Centre, on Wednesday, February 20th from 2:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m., Thursday, February 21st from 10:00 a.m. until time of funeral. All messages of condolence will be read at the family service on Wednesday, February 20th at 8:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held from the Church of The Good Shepherd, Cavendish on Thursday, February 21st at 3:00 p.m. Interment to follow at the Church of The Good Shepherd Cemetery, Cavendish. As an expression of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, donations in Lizzie’s memory may be made to the Church of The Good Shepherd, Cavendish.
