It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of a dear mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and aunt. Mom passed peacefully away at the Lion’s Manor, Placentia, in the presence of her loving family. Predeceased by her husband James, son Donald and infant son Jerard. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are her sons Doug (Eileen), Hughie, James (Geraldine), Gerard (Lorraine), daughters Veronica (Bill) Breen, Eleanor (Calvin) Kielly, daughter-in-law Marion, 15 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, sisters-in-law Sadie Mooney, Theresa Bishop, brother-in-law Ed Bishop, a large circle of nieces and nephews, especially Elaine, her loving caregiver for over eight years, Kay and Wally, Kathleen, Ann, Joan and her extended family and many friends, including Belle, Frank and Clara. A special thank you is extended to the staff and residents of the Lion’s Manor for the love, care and companionship shown to Mom during the past six months. Resting at Gibbons’ Funeral Home, St. Mary’s, on Monday, February 25, from 2 – 4 pm; 7 – 9 pm and Tuesday, February 26, 10 am – 12 pm; 2 – 4 pm; 7 – 9 pm (no visitation on Wednesday). Mass of Christian Burial to be held on Wednesday, February 27, at 11 am, at Our Lady of the Assumption Church, St. Mary’s. Burial to follow. Flowers gratefully accepted or donations in her memory may be made to the Good Shepherd Parish (envelopes provided) or to a charity of one’s choice.
