Elsie Agnes (Holley) Taylor, born in Eureka, on April 4th, 1929, daughter of Sadie and Trueman Holley, passed away on February 26th, 2013.
Mom, being the last surviving member of her family, was predeceased by three sisters: Ena (Fraser) Reid, Jean (George) MacAskill and Evelyn (Henry) Wong, and four brothers: Hod (Tol), Ray (May), Murray (Shirley) and Jack (Noreen).
Elsie married Freeman Taylor and together they had two children, Harley (Margaret Fraser) and Holly (Frank Wuite), and later blessed with four grandchildren. Nathan and Christian Taylor will always remember their grandmother as Grammie Duffy and Sara and Katie Wuite will cherish their memories of Grammie.
Mom’s wish was to have her body donated to Dalhousie University to assist in teaching and research.
Cremation with interment of ashes in the Dalhousie Memorial Gardens will follow. There will not be any visitation or funeral, as requested by Mom.
Freeman, Harley and Holly would like to thank the extended family Mom relied upon at Valley View Villa. The staff made sure Mom was safe and loved, and that her needs were met. Thank you to all our friends for the concern and kindness you have shown over the years and during this sad time.
Donations in Mom’s memory can be made to the Alzheimer’s Society.
