We the family regret to announce the passing of Harold Donovan on Feb. 27, 2013, at Buchanan Memorial Hospital in Neil’s Harbour.
Born in Ingonish, he was the son of the late Neil and Rita (Burke) Donovan.
He was employed with the middle head Trap Company and Mackerel Rock Trap Company, and also at the lumber woods in Mira, cutting pulp. He loved golfing and he was always willing to lend a helping hand.
Harold will be sadly missed by his sisters, Mary Rosalie Harrison, Ingonish Beach, and Rita Lorraine Fraser, Glace Bay; his close nieces, Debbie Dowling and Lee Ashford as well as man nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Harold was predeceased by brothers, Doug, Alonzo, Theodore, Everette and Greg, sisters, Helen, Evelyn, and Patsy.
A special thank you Dr. Ken Murrey and Dr. Bernard Buffett, nurses, kitchen and housekeeping staff for their special care and always bringing a smile to Harold’s face.
Cremation has taken place. A visitation for Harold will be at Mary Harrison’s residence, 30 Kelly’s Lane, Ingonish Beach, Saturday March 2 at 2 p.m.
