HATTUM: Edna - The energizer bunny batteries final charge was used up on February 25, 2013 when Edna Hattum's (nee Giesbrecht) time with us ended, so she could once again be reunited with her twin brother Edwin. Edna was a wonderful supportive wife, companion, and partner in life to Abe for 50 years. Edna was the 7th child of 14 born to Margaret and Cornelius Giesbrecht on October 11, 1943 in Swift Current, Saskatchewan. At an early age mom developed a stubborn streak which helped her though life right to the end. That stubborn streak was her legacy given to each of her kids. Mom's favorite time of the year was spring as everything was new on the farm. Farm life was always a place to work and mom would never shy away from work. Mom was one "hell of a hired hand" who didn't get paid with much more than love. Mom will be lovely remembered and deeply missed by Abe as well as her 4 kids: Albert & Keri Hattum (Eric, Merissa, Cordell, Kensley, Cheyenne) Shelley & Baron Hildebrand (Jacob, Joseph, Luke, Mark) Tanya & James Elston (Hunter), Tracy Hattum (Kayli) also numerous family and friends. She was an amazing lady whose heart was made of gold. Mom your work is finally done, its your time to rest, as God picked the perfect angel.
