The death occurred at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital on Tuesday, March 12, 2013, of John Roderick “Jackie” Roberts, age 70 years.
He is survived by his wife Nancy (nee Strickland) Roberts; daughter, Carol Marie Strickland; brothers and sisters, Gordon (Helen), Bo (Millie), Glenda Myers (late Fenner), Betty McIntyre (Gordon Johnson), Cecil (Cecelia), Basil (Vera), and Sterling, sister-in-law Phyllis (late Reuben). Besides his parents, Arthur and Viola (nee Gallant) Roberts, he was predeceased by his sisters and brothers, Pearl Curran (Gerald), Reuben, Melvin, Leigh, Norman, Earl and Mary.
Resting at Hennessey Cutcliffe Charlottetown Funeral Home where the funeral will be held in the funeral home chapel on Friday at 11 a.m. Interment later in York United Church Cemetery. Visiting hours on Thursday 6-9 p.m.
