GALLANT, KATHERINE - In Loving Memory of Katherine “Kathy” Gallant (January 10th, 1957 - March 19th, 2013) who passed away peacefully Tuesday, March 19th, 2013 at the Maison Vale Hospice, her loving family at her side. Beloved mother of Kayne, Allayna and Kiah Kaltiainen. Loving sister of Raymond (Ann), Susan Chavarria (late Frank), Michael (Jeannette), Sandra Gaudet (late Maurice) and Debby Gallant. Predeceased by her parents Arthur and Alta (nee Dean) Gallant. Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Kathy was a proud Maritimer who loved the East Coast. She travelled extensively in her younger years. Raised by her paternal grandmother Marguerite Gallant she emulated many of her grandmother’s qualities, a woman of strength, determination, selflessness, generosity and steadfastness to name a few. A friendly and thoughtful person, if she could make one person laugh or smile, it made her day. Her favourite things were a good Tim Horton’s and her unofficial 4th child, canine little prince ‘’Shadow”. Kathy was an active member of the Breast Cancer Circle of Strength support group. The light of her life will be cherished by all who knew and loved her.
Memorial Visitation at the Jackson and Barnard Funeral Home. Memorial Service at the Funeral Home Friday, March 22nd 2013 at 11:30 am. Cremation at the Park Lawn Crematorium.
