It is with great sadness that we, the family, announce the passing of our loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Genevieve Drover (nee Fitzgerald). Predeceased by her husband Raymond (1996) and her daughter Yvonne (2004). Leaving to mourn and celebrate her life are her son Aiden (Roberta); daughter Cynthia (Art); son-in-law Joseph (Judy); grandchildren: Sean, Kyla, Trudy, Tracy, Jennifer, Lee, Jason, Rodney, Stephen, Colette, Maria, John and Katie; great-grandchildren: Laura, Parker, Jocelyn, Lilly, Liam, Joshua, Gabrielle, Jude, Caleb and his little brother who will join the family in July. Also a large circle of relatives and friends, especially Kay and Shirley. Resting at Strathie’s Funeral Home, Bonavista Thursday, March 21 and Friday, March 22 from 2-4 p.m. and 7–9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, March 23 at 11 a.m. from St. Joseph’s Church, Bonavista. Flowers gratefully accepted or donations in her memory may be made to St. Patrick’s Mercy Home Foundation. The family would like to extend heartfelt thanks and appreciation to the staff of 3 E/W of St. Patrick’s Mercy Home for the loving care and attention given to their Mom. Genevieve was a devoted mother and grandmother who lived a quiet, humble and Christian life. Her gentle spirit and loving heart has left a lasting impression on all those who have known her. Her home in Bonavista was the source of much joy. Safe now in the arms of the angels, she enjoys the happiness of God’s eternal home.
