YOUNG, RENA MARY RN. - Rena M. Young (nee Wallace), wife of J. Frank Young of Riverview, NB; peacefully passed away on Thursday, March 21, 2013 at the Moncton Hospital after a long and fulfilled life. She was the last surviving member of her immediate Wallace Family. She was predeceased by her youngest child Geraldine "Gerrie" Sheehan in 2009 and by her daughter-in-law Lindsay Young in 2011. Rena was a registered nurse who graduated from the Moncton Hotel-Dieu, now the Dr. Georges L. Dumont University Hospital. She worked in Moncton and later in Chatham, NB where she married her husband of 63 years. Besides her husband Frank, Rena is survived by her son Peter and his children Aidan and Robin, her daughter Carolyn (David) Seely and their children Troy (Christina) Seely, Shannon (Jeff) Rydwansky and Trent; son-in-law Mark Sheehan and his children Ashley (Chris Gallant) and Jason; also by three great grandchildren.
Resting at the Riverview Funeral Home, 214 Pine Glen Rd. with visitation on Sunday, March 24, 2013 from 2:00 to 4:00pm. Parish Prayers and Sharing of Memories will be held on Sunday afternoon at 3:30pm. The funeral mass will be celebrated at Immaculate Heart of Mary Roman Catholic Church, 5 Fatima Dr. Riverview on Monday, March 25, 2013 at 1:30 pm with Fr. Phil Mulligan officiating. Interment will be in St. Michael's Basilica Parish Cemetery, Chatham at a later date. Donations in Rena's memory made to the charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by her family.
