Peacefully and surrounded by her loving family at the Colville Manor in Souris on Wednesday, Feb. 10, 2010, of Bertha MacAulay (nee MacKinnon) in her 91st year.
Predeceased in 2007 by her husband, Peter J. MacAulay. Loving mother of Garth (Jean) of Cole Harbour, N.S., Paul (Rita) of Chepstow, Ann Marie of Halifax, Ronnie (Michele) of Stratford, Colin (Suzanne Leslie) of Chepstow and Marion (Phil Redden) of Antigonish, N.S. Dear grandmother of Chris (Lisa), Ryan, Jillian Colbert (George), Maribeth, Heather, Sheryl, Shannon (Geordan), Lindsay, Nick, Gregory, Nathan, Luke, Suzanne and Stephen. Great-grandmother of Peter Jack, Ella, Olivia and Hunter. Sadly missed by brother, Joseph MacKinnon (Barbara) of St. Peters Bay; sister, Marie Paquette of Gatineau, PQ; and sister-in-law, Rita MacKinnon of Chatham, Ontario; and many nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by parents, Raymond and Theresa; sisters, Mary (Bernard) Mossey, Sister Mary Irene CSM, Anna (Freddie) Larkin, Marion (Joe) MacDonald; brothers, Allan (Pat) and Ron.
Also survived by the MacAulay family: Gene and Betty, Estelle, Charles, Father Kenneth and Father Gerard. Predeceased by Pauline (Sept), Mary Matilda (Bernard), Joseph (Anna), Frances (Evelyn), Bernard and Father Adolphus.
Resting at the Dingwell Funeral Home in Souris for visiting hours on Friday, Feb. 12, 2010, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. and Saturday morning from 11:30 a.m. until funeral time.
Funeral to be held on Saturday afternoon, Feb. 13, 2010, to St. Mary\'s Roman Catholic Church for funeral mass to be celebrated at 1 p.m. Interment in the church cemetery.
