It is with great sadness that the family of the late Christina Louise MacDonald (nee Keeping) announces her passing her passing on Friday April 19, at Dr. Charles L Legrow Health Center in Port aux Basques at the age of 84 years. Born at Burnt Islands, Christina was the daughter of the late James and Susan Keeping. She was also predeceased by her husband Ephriam in March of 2009, son Milton, grandson Gerard, sisters Abigail Croucher, Queenie Enwood, brothers Samuel Keeping, William Keeping, Angus Keeping and Levi Keeping. Left to mourn with many fond and precious memories of a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother are her children; Gerald (Kathleen) Burnt Islands, Claude (Patsy) Isle aux Morts, Sheila (Ernest) Halifax NS, Vera (Thomas) Isle aux Morts, Anne (Clarence) Burnt Islands, Susan (Roland) Isle aux Morts, Martina (Rob) Port aux Basques, 15 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and a large circle of nieces, nephews, and many friends. Visitation took place on Saturday and Sunday at St. George's Anglican Church in Burnt Islands. Funeral services took place on Monday April 22, 2 PM at St. George's Anglican Church officiated by Rev. Kris Gosse, interment followed at Hillside Haven Cemetery, Isle aux Morts Road. Donations in memory of Christina can be made to St. George's Anglican Church Memorial Fund.
