It is with broken hearts that we the family announce the peaceful passing of Phillip Pratt on Friday, April 26, 2013, at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Sydney, he was the son of the late Thomas Anthony and Margaret Ann (Ferguson) Pratt.
He was employed as a plumber with MacLean Brothers until his retirement. Phillip enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family.
Phillip is survived by his loving wife of 28 years, Deborah (MacLean) Pratt; his children, Diana (Butch) Fiske, Fall River, Brenda Lee, Calgary, Phil, Edmonton, Jackie (Cindy), Victoria, Dougie (Kim), Sydney, Timmy (Carrie Ann), Sydney; and his special son, Frankie; 13 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister, Judy Baker; brothers, Donnie (Joyce), Bruce (Melinda), Doug (Donna); many nieces and nephews, as well as the extended MacLean family.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his siblings, Peggy, Emily, Tommy, Robert, Alex and Allan, brother-in-law, John Baker, mother and father-in-law, Nellie and Seward MacLean.
Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held 2 p.m., Monday, April 29, 2013, at the S.W. Chant & Son Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Sheldon Chant officiating.
