Passed peacefully away at the Carmelite Home in Grand Falls-Windsor on Monday, April 29, 2013, Mrs. Emily Ann Benoit, age 68 years of Conne River. Leaving to mourn her loving family: daughter, Lavina Stride (Paul Brace); sons, Gordon Stride (Rachel) and Derek Stride (Rochelle) all at Conne River; thirteen grandchildren and three great grandchildren; brothers, George Drew (Priscilla) and Larry Drew (Rita); sisters, Linda (John Stride), Mary Drake (Bob), Florence Tremblay (Yvon), Daisy (Andy Joe) and Collie (Giles) all at Conne River; son in law, Bert Willcott at St. Alban’s, plus a number of other relatives and friends.
Predeceased by her first husband, Peter Stride, and second husband, Aloysius Benoit; daughter, Joyce Willcott; parents, John Joe Drew and Mary Anne Crant; brothers, Tommy Drew, Wilfred, Jim and Gordon.
Funeral service was held on Thursday, May 2, 2013 from St. Anne’s Roman Catholic Church in Conne River at 2:00pm with Father Edward Brophy officiating. Interment followed at the Roman Catholic Cemetery at Conne River.
