Passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 30, 2013, at the Health Sciences Centre, St. John’s, in the presence of his loving family and after a brief illness, Ronald Eugene Mitchell of Grand Bank, age 88 years. Predeceased by wife Georgina; mother Annie Amelia (nee Mitchell) & step-father Samuel Fizzard. Leaving to mourn: daughter Evelyn (Wallace Clancey), son David; grandchildren Vanessa & Lisa; great-grandson Christopher Eugene; sisters Stella Pearl (Wayne Hollett) & Greta (Harry Tarrant); brother Lewis (Helena); and trusted companion Joe. Also a very large circle of other relatives and friends. Remains resting at Warren’s Funeral Home, Grand Bank on Thursday from 2-4 pm (family only) & 7-9 pm, and Friday & Saturday from 2-4 pm & 7-9 pm. Funeral service will take place from Grand Bank United Church at 2 pm on Sunday, May 5, with interment to follow at the United Church Cemetery. Donations in his memory may be made to the Grand Bank United Church Cemetery Fund. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the care of Warren’s Funeral Home.
