GOLDEN, JANET - It is with great sadness that the family would like to announce the passing of Janet Golden which occurred on May 8, 2013 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born September 30, 1942 she was the daughter of the late George and Elizabeth Golding. She was a dedicated member of the Main Street Baptist Church, and volunteer of the Neighbourhood Hope Mission. Janet loved gardening, fishing and spending time outside. She is survived by her loving husband David of 51 years; daughters Brenda Golden-Chesser of Saint John, Bonnie Golden-Bradley of Quispamsis; sisters Gloria (Jack) Blagdon and Judy (Harold) McGovern both of Saint John; Hazel (Tom) Crawford of Ontario; grandchildren Devin, Courtney, Caitlin, Cayla, Noah and Anna. Janet was predeceased by her two daughters Kimberly and Karen Golden.
Arrangements are under the care of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424) with visitation on Friday, May 10, 2013 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. The funeral service will be held from the Main Street Baptist Church on Saturday, May 11, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. Donations in Janet’s memory can be made to the Main Street Baptist Church, Neighbourhood Hope Mission, Camp Tulakadik, or to the charity of one’s choice. www.fundyfuneralhome.com
