It is with sadness that family announce the peaceful passing of Beulah MacRury on Saturday, May 11, 2013, at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney.
Born in Corner Brook, N.L., she was the daughter of the late Henry and Susan Mae (Decker) Dyer.
A long-time member of Sydney Pentecostal Church; she was a loving and devoted Mom and Nan who enjoyed the company of her family.
Beulah is survived by her loving husband, Donald MacRury, Harbourstone; daughters, Shawna (Alex) Barter, Deer Lake, N.L., Sharon MacRury (Alec Phillips), Marion Bridge; son, James (Minnie) MacRury, Sydney; five wonderful grandchildren, Donald, Shawn and Robert MacRury, Ian and Caitlin Barter. She is also survived by her sister, Hazel Watters, Bras d’Or; sisters-in-law, Elizabeth ‘Betty’ Dyer, Sydney, and Lillian Dyer, Lower Sackville; as well as nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her daughter, Donna Lee in infancy, sisters, Evelyn and Ruby, brothers, George, Gordon and Fred, mother and father-in-law, James and Jessie MacRury.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, May 14, 2013, from 2:30-4 and 7-8:30 p.m. at the S.W. Chant & Son Funeral Home, 564 Alexandra St., Sydney. Funeral service will take place 11 a.m., Wednesday, May 15, 2013, in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Ron Coole officiating.
