It is with great sadness that our family announce the sudden yet peaceful passing of Cassie Stella (nee Piercey) Davis on Sunday May 12, 2013 at the Woodstock Hospital in her 74th year. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband and best friend Albert “Al”, son Terry (Laura), son-in-law Dave Slager (late Vera), sisters Doris (Bill) and Patsy (Denzel), her brother Chesley and by her sisters-in-law Lily, Jane and Louise. Her memory will live on with her grandchildren; Stephanie (Jason), Joshua, Luke, Liam, Erika, Myles and her great grandchildren Jonah and Ellis. She is also survived by her many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Predeceased by her daughter Vera (2012), parents Selbey and Lily Piercey and brothers Walt and Roland. Cassie was born in Hopeall, Newfoundland then later moved to Stephenville, Newfoundland where she had resided for over 30 years. A time of visitation will take place at the Brock and Visser Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock, 519-539-0004 on Wednesday May 15, 2013 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm, where the complete memorial service will be held in the chapel on Thursday at 11:00 am with Rev. Lloyd Bennett officiating. Cremation has taken place. The family prefers contributions to V.O.N. Sakura House Hospice and may be arranged through the funeral home.
