Passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 30, 2013, at the Health Sciences Centre, St. John's, in the presence of his loving family and after a brief illness, Ronald Eugene Mitchell of Grand Bank, age 88 years. Predeceased by wife Georgina; mother Annie Amelia (nee Mitchell) & step-father Samuel Fizzard. Leaving to mourn: daughter Evelyn (Wallace Clancey), son David; grandchildren Vanessa & Lisa; great grandson Christopher Eugene; sisters Stella Pearl (Wayne Hollett) & Greta (Harry Tarrant), brother Lewis (Helena); and trusted companion Joe. Also a very large circle of other relatives and friends. Funeral Service was conducted by Rev. Rick Marsh from Grand Bank United Church at 2pm on Sunday, May 5th, 2013. Interment followed at United Church Cemetery, Grand Bank. Pall Bearers were: Lewis Fizzard, David Mitchell, Dennis Myles, Roy Pike, Gus Ralph, Arch Thornhill.Donations in his memory may be made to United Church Cemetery Fund, Grand Bank. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the care of Warren's Funeral Home, Grand Bank.
