Walter Francis Hagen, 53, Lawrencetown, passed away Thursday, May 16, 2013, in the VG Hospital, QEII, after a brave and courageous battle with cancer.
Born in Sydney, he was a son of Walter and Ada (O’Flaherty) Hagen.
Walter was an avid musician who will be fondly remembered as a beautiful song writer, singer and guitar player. He was a wonderful husband and father who loved to share his music with his family and friends.
He is survived by his wife, Pamela (LeBlanc) Hagen; daughters, Melanie (Jamie) Meekins, Ashley Hagen; brother, Mike (Donna) Hagen; sister, Donna (Terry) Gillis; many nieces and nephews.
Cremation has taken place under the direction of Cole Harbour Funeral Home and Crematorium, 1234 Cole Harbour Road, where visitation was held Tuesday, May 21st. A funeral mass will be held on Friday, May 24, 2013 at St. Theresa’s Church in Sydney at 10 a.m.
