SIMPSON, VALORES MARILYN - Mrs. Valores Marilyn (Matthews) Simpson passed away peacefully on May 23, 2013 at Saint John Regional Hospital. Born April 28, 1937 in L’Etete, NB, she was daughter of the late Floyd and Vera (Leavitt) Matthews. A loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend she will be greatly missed by many. Valores is survived by her husband Daniel Simpson, of 57 years; daughter, Deborah Simpson-Walker (Neil Walker) of Halifax, NS; granddaughters, Morgan and Brittni; great grandson, Finnegan; special nephew Lanny Hooper and several nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her daughter Kelly and sister Evelyn Hooper.
In keeping with Valores’ wishes, there will be no visitation. A graveside service will be held at the St. George Rural Cemetery, St. George, NB on Sunday at 12:30 pm with Rev. Gordon Cooke officiating with refreshments to follow at the family home. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, or a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated.
