AYLES, CHRISTINA - Christina May Ayles of Lakeview Manor; Riverview passed away peacefully at The Moncton Hospital on May 23rd, 2013 surrounded by her loving family. Born in Kingsboro, P.E.I. she was the daughter of the later Walter Robertson and Marjorie (Robertson-Campbell). Christina attended the school for the deaf in Halifax, N.S. She was a gifted seamstress and a perfectionist in her work. Being involved in the Moncton Wesleyan Church and an active member of the deaf community were very important to her. She loved to read and enjoyed spending her summers on the farm in Kingsboro, P.E.I. Christina is survived by her loving husband of over 66 years, Gordon James Ayles, sons; Walter Ayles (Anne), Kane Ayles (Yvonne), grandchildren Angela Rafferty (Richard), Jennifer, Heather and Kailey Ayles, Shannon (Ronald), Matthew and Lindsay Ayles; great grandchildren Keira and Liam Rafferty, Nathan, Anthony and Jaxson. In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her sister Walena Boertien. We would like to thank Dr. Fitch, the staff and volunteers at Lakeview Manor and the Doctors and Staff of the 3rd floor Moncton Hospital for their compassion.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, May 26 from 2:00pm to 4:00pm and from 7:00pm to 9:00pm at Fair Haven Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held in the chapel of Fair Haven Funeral Home on Monday, May 27, 2013 at 11:00am. A reception will follow in the Garden View Reception Room. Interment will be at Fair Haven Memorial Gardens. Memorial donations to the Lakeview Manor Activity department, South East Deaf and Hard of Hearing Services Inc. or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
