COBURN, GWEN I. - It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Gwen Coburn of Keswick Ridge, New Brunswick on May 30th 2013. Gwen is predeceased by her parents John and Mary (Lamont) Glass, as well as her husband Burris Coburn in 1991. Gwen graduated from the Victoria Public Hospital Nursing program but chose to live her life as a loving and devoted homemaker. She lived for the jam sessions at Mazerolle Settlement and was a life member of Keswick Ridge U.C.W. She leaves behind five loving children, John Coburn (Cathy), Jean Coburn, Mary Somerville (Robert), David Coburn (Karen), George Coburn (daughter-in-law Ann Coburn), 11 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, a sister-in-law Margaret Cameron, two chosen daughters Sandra Brewer and Marjorie Howe, several nieces, nephews, and cousins and many friends who lovingly called her “Mom” or “Grandma.” She was also predeceased by two brothers Keith and John Glass.
Resting at Bishop’s Funeral Home at 540 Woodstock Road Fredericton where visitation will be held on Friday, May 31st 2013 from 2 to 4pm and 7 to 9pm. A funeral service will be held at Bishop’s Funeral Home on Saturday, June 1, 2013 at 2:00 pm with Pastor Peter Beckwith officiating. Interment will follow in the Pickard-Merrithew Cemetery.
