It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of Richard Joseph Gaudet, 56, of Sydney, on Tuesday, May 28, 2013.
Born in Sydney, he was the son of Philomena (LeBlanc), Dartmouth, and the late Edmund Gaudet.
Richard had a lifelong passion for music enabling him to play with The Empirals, Sonny Slade and the Wee Hours and Tabloid.
He is survived by daughters, Crystal (Tim) Barrington, Halifax, and Michelle (Matthew) Slade, Leitches Creek; grandsons, Wade and Keiran Barrington; granddaughter, Breanna Slade; sisters, Joan (Fabian) Nearing, Sydney, and Anne Gaudet (Mario LaLiberte), Elmsdale; brother, Bill Gaudet, Dominion; nieces, Kimberly (Cory), Jennifer, Christine (Shawn), Chantal and nephew, Eddie.
He was predeceased by a sister-in-law, Mary.
A private family service will be held.
