BOYD, TERESA - 1926 - 2013 - Teresa (Gallagher) Boyd passed away on Thursday, May 30, 2013 at the Upper River Valley Hospital. She was 87. Born in Bath, New Brunswick, on April 10, 1926, she was the youngest daughter of John Archibald and Mary Elizabeth (Brennan) Gallagher. Known for her quick wit, Teresa loved to share laughs and stories with family and friends. She was a hostess at heart, always ready with a hot tea kettle and pleased to put on a lunch. She loved to quilt and pickle in her spare time, sharing her talents with others. Teresa was a life-long member of the Bath and Johnville communities, and a dedicated member of the Catholic Women's League. Her warm and caring spirit will always be remembered by those who knew and loved her. She is survived by her sister Anna Kilfoil of Fredericton; son Gerard Boyd and his wife Diana of Johnville, and their children Jenna Boyd (and daughter Alexis) of Wicklow; Lindsey (Mike) Bunin (and sons Jacob and Isaac) of Beaver Bank, NS; and Stuart Keilty of Okanagan Valley, BC; and many nieces and nephews. She was widowed in 1998 by husband of 38 years, Basil Boyd. Besides her parents, Teresa was predeceased by sister Frances and brothers Bill, John, Joe and infant Joseph Benedict. The Boyd family would like to extend special thanks to the caring staff at Shaw's Special Care Home in Waterville.
Visitation will be held from L.R. Giberson Funeral Directors, 207 Burnham Rd. Floreneville-Bristol on Sunday, June 2, 2013 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, June 3, 2013 at 11:00 am from St. John The Evangelist Church, Johnville. Father David Fulton as celebrant.
