HOLMES/FINESTONE: Ruth Josephine age 100 years of Calgary, AB passed away Sunday, May 19th, 2013 at Rocky View Hospital in Calgary. The Memorial Service was held on Saturday, May 25, 2013 from the Chapel of Warren's Funeral Home in Swift Current with Reverend Maryann Boote officiating. Her daughter Beverly Gatzke was eulogist. Grandsons Bruce Holmes Jr., Craig Gatzke, Jarrod Gatzke and Matthew Pruitt shared memories of their grandmother. Great Grandson Myles Ellert read a poem and Great Grandson Brian Ellert read the scripture reading. Ruth is survived by a daughter Beverly (Dennis) Gatzke and their family: Craig (Donna) Gatzke and their children: Brayden and Daylan; Stacy (Shell) Ellert and their children Brian, Jaclyn and Myles: Lisa (Rob) Pasishnik and their children; Logan, Bronwen and Owen; Jarrod (Larisa) Gatzke and their children Natasha and Jaden: A daughter Debra Kim (Rob) Carlson and their family, Matthew Pruitt (Amanda Williams), Kaila Carlson and Layne Carlson.
Her son Bruce's Family: Lauri Jo (Del) Beich and their family Kristen (Mike) Darr and their children Sean, Dillon, Ember and Maisyn. Brett Beich; Carla (Gary) Hornung and their child Kyle Hornung (Charlotte Briere). Bruce Jr. (Shelley) and their child Lundy Holmes. Ruth was predeceased by Husbands Carl Holmes in 1961 and Samuel Finestone in 1989, a son Bruce Holmes in 1998 and a Granddaughter Paula Gatzke in 1968.
