CAMPBELL, DEREK - It is with great sadness that the family announce the passing of Derek Owen Patrick Campbell, age 51, husband of Joanne (Donaldson) Campbell, of Upham, NB, occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital, on Wednesday, June 5, 2013. He was born on October 18, 1961, in Saint John, NB, the son of the late William and Peggy (Rooney) Campbell. Derek is survived by his loving wife Joanne; daughter Carrie Campbell (Alvin Sonier) of Saint John, NB; son Joel Campbell of Upham, NB; brother Billy Campbell and his wife Linda; sisters Terry Keith and her husband Chuck, Debbie Campbell, Lois Walton, Pam Hunter and her husband Ross, Maxine LeBlanc and her husband Donnie; sister-in-law Judy Price; several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his brother-in-law George Walton. Derek was employed with Norrad Chrysler in Sussex. He was an avid snowmobiler, loved his camp and his dog Savannah. He was a terrific husband, amazing father, brother, uncle and friend.
He is resting at Reid’s Funeral Home (506-832-5541), 1063 Main Street, Hampton, NB, with visiting on Sunday from 2 to 8 PM. Funeral service, conducted by, Rev. Rob Marsh, will be held from St. Peter’s Anglican Church, Upham at 11:00 AM, on Monday, June 10, 2013. Private interment will take place in adjoining cemetery at a later date.
