Kaufmann Uwe C. - It is with a broken heart, that I announce the passing of my dear, wonderful and deeply loved fiancé, Uwe. He went to be with the lord on May 30,2013. Uwe was born in Bremen, Germany on January 15, 1944. He studied engineering before coming to Canada in 1970. He attended McMaster University and worked for many years in Ontario. Upon coming to Nova Scotia, he retired and devoted his time to pursue his passion for writing. Among his accomplishments was a play performed by many schools in and around Halifax. Two other completed works are a 3 piece novel, and years of research resulting in “The Kuscap Legend”. He was predeceased by his father, Fritz, mother Anna Marie and daughter Amya. He is survived by fiancée, Bonnie Pitman. He was my kindred spirit, young and tender at heart. He loved classical music and writing. He was adventurous, brilliant and a wonderful partner. Many hours were spent talking, laughing and reading the bible together. Uwe loved the Lord. I will greatly mourn and miss him. Until we meet again. Arrangements have been entrusted to Sweeny’s Funeral Home and Crematorium, Yarmouth. There will be a private graveside service at a later date. Donations in memory may be made to a charity of your choice. On-line condolences may be sent to: sweenysfh@eastlink.ca or you may sign the guestbook on-line at: www.sweenysfuneralhome.net
