Passed peacefully away on Saturday, June 8, 2013, at his home in Corner Brook, Lionel Benjamin Chaulk, at the age of 80 years. Left with wonderful memories are his daughters: Gail (Joe) Sheen of Kippens, NL and Sandra (Gerry) Ivess of Abercorn, QC; grandchildren: Ashley and Ben Sheen; Neil (Jessica), April, Gregory (Carrie) and Krista (Jono) Ivess; great-grandchildren: Aislinn, Ronan, Kayden, Leila and Rory; sisters: Mary Crawley, Emily (Bob) Grant, Joyce (George) Gilbert, Doreen Barrett, Ruth Dawe, and Joan (Ron) Legge; brothers: Tom (Joan), Lewis (Davina), Wayne (Denise); sisters-in-law: Phyllis Chaulk, Harriet Williams, Audrey Duffenais, Barb Maringo and Maureen Smith; brothers-in-law Ron, Ned, Wayne and Roy Williams; his extended family: Wayne Anthony, Marvin Anthony, John and Emmaline Ryan, Max and Sharon Brown and their children, his best friend Alex Noseworthy, many nieces, nephews, dear friends and special pets: Cuddles and Charlie. Predeceased by his loving wife of 35 years, Shirley Chaulk, parents Lewis and Florrie Chaulk, special companion of 18 years, Edna Anthony, brother Ernest, sister Mabel Bartlett, father and mother-in-law Charles and Margaret Williams; brothers-in-law: Kevin Dawe, Ken Crawley, Basil Cormier, Frank Bartlett, Ben Barrett, Tom Williams, Dave Williams and sister-in-law Margaret Tucker. Visitation will be held at Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 4 St. Marks Avenue on Wednesday, 2-4 and 7-9:00 p.m. and on Thursday from 2-4:00 p.m. followed by cremation at Humber Valley Crematorium. The funeral service will be held on Friday, June 14th at 11:00 a.m. from the Salvation Army Temple, O’Connell Drive with Majors Calvin and Loretta Fudge officiating. The interment will follow at Mt. Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, flowers are graciously accepted or donations may be made to Prostate Cancer Support and Research, c/o 76 Caribou Road, Corner Brook, NL, A2H 4X3.
