Passed peacefully away, surrounded by family, at the L.A. Miller Centre on June 10, 2013, Robert Janes of Mount Pearl, age 87 years. Predeceased by daughter Ferna, and sister Julia. Leaving to mourn his wife of 63 years Linda; daughters: Patsy (Thomas) and Gail (Lorne); son-in-law Glenn; grandchildren: Stephen (Alison), Julie (Brad), Michael (Rosa), Matthew, Andrew, Allison (Aaron), and Grace; great-grandchildren: Stella and Norah; sisters: Allison Bowring (Clarence-deceased), Myra Andrews (Keith), and Shirley Mills (Merlin); as well as a number of nieces, nephews and friends. Resting at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 73 Commonwealth Avenue, Mount Pearl from 7-9 p.m on Tuesday, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Wednesday and from 10 a.m. - 12 noon on Thursday. Funeral Service to take place at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 13, 2013 from First United Church. Interment to follow at Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
