It is with great sadness we the family announce the passing our precious mother, Anna Hussey on June 15, 2013, in London, Ont., surrounded by her loving family.
Born in New Waterford, she was the daughter of the late Matthew and Kathleen (Pembroke) Hawley, and resided in River Ryan most of her life, and later on she moved to London, Ont.
She was a former member of the Parish of St. Michael’s, River Ryan, a member of the Catholic Women’s League and served on the Parish Cemetery Committee. She was a quilter and donated her work to several parish activities.
Anna is survived by daughters, Margaret, Kathleen, Maureen; son, Michael, and her brother, Frankie.
She was predeceased by her husband, Francis (Scotty), son, Pius, sisters, Adeline MacDonald, Kathleen Grieve, Winnie Winslow, brothers, Rev. Fr. Pius Hawley, Patrick, Jimmie and Bernie.
Visitation will take place Thursday, June, 20, 2013, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. and a funeral mass to celebrate Anna’s life will be Friday, June 21 at 10 a.m. in the Parish of Saint Leonard with Fr. Ray Huntley officiating. Burial will be in St. Michael’s Cemetery followed by a luncheon in the parish hall, Convent Street, and all are welcome.
