1948-2013
Died peacefully at home on June 19, 2013, after a courageous battle with cancer. Left to mourn his loving and devoted wife Clara (Hutchings); his children and grandchildren: Colleen (Michael Gillingham) and their children Lucas and Grace; Ben (Jackie) and their children Mackenzie and Madison; Kerry (Daniel Murphy) and their son Andrew; Laureen; April (Trevor Pomroy) and their son Samuel; Tony; Colin; and foster daughter Natasha (Ed Quinlan) and their children Kelly and Tyler. Also leaving to mourn sisters: Harriet (Eric Peddle), Christine (Wade Smith), and brother Patrick (Jackie) and sister-in-law Norma Galway, nephews and nieces and other family members and friends. Cremation has taken place. Visitation at R.C. Church in Bellevue T.B. on Thursday, June 20 between 7 and 9 p.m. and Friday, June 21 between noon and 3:30 p.m. Funeral service to follow. Inurnment at a later date. Flowers gratefully declined. Anyone wishing to do so may make a donation in memory to the Dr. H. Bliss Murphy Cancer Centre, St. John's.
