Born Kuling, China, May 31st, 1925, passed away in West Kelowna, June 21, 2013, her battle with Alzheimer's over.

Predeceased by son Timothy (Daniela) and brother John.

Survived by Haakon, her devoted and loving husband of 62 years, daughter Anne (Andy), sons Ted (Debbie), Peter (Raymonde), John (Brenda) and brothers Ted (Diane), Peter (Donna) and grandchildren Kate (Scott), Tava (Regan), Jordan, Danika, Talisa, Jeremy, Maja, Jennifer and great-grandchildren Cole, Tannar and numerous nieces and nephews.

Ruth lived her first 20 years in China then briefly moved to England where she trained as a dietician. She then moved to Montreal where she met and married Haakon and started their family. The family grew as they lived in Sarnia, Kitimat and Kamloops. The family eventually settled in Chase and Ruth's final years were spent in West Kelowna.

Ruth had a sweet and gentle nature. She loved her family and especially enjoyed the time spent on the farm and in her garden overlooking the South Thompson River in Chase.

A Celebration of Life to be held on Friday, June 28, 2013, at 1:00 p.m. at the Grace Lutheran Church, 1162 Hudson Road, West Kelowna, B.C.
