It is with great sadness that the family of the late Ira Pearce announce his passing at Western Memorial Regional Hospital on Saturday June 29, 2013 at the age of 86 years. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife of 33 years, Muriel; step-children: Ida Diamond, Stephenville, Donald (Mary) Diamond, Steady Brook, Albert (Kelly) Diamond, Mississauga, ON, Debbie Diamond, Massey Drive, Otto (Susan) Diamond, Corner Brook, Raymond (Elizabeth) Diamond, Massey Drive, Huldah (Wade) Oldford, Curling; 13 step-grandchildren; 11 step-great-grandchildren; sister Daisy Crewe, Shoal Hr, as well as a large circle of nieces & nephews, other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents Elijah and Blanche; his first wife Leah (1975) and his beloved siblings. Friends visited Country Haven Funeral Home, 167 Country Road on Monday, July 1 between the hours of 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will take place today, Tuesday, July 2, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. from Country Haven Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Baxter Park officiating. At Ira’s request cremation has taken place. Interment will take place at a later date. As expressions of sympathy in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
