The Late George Hiscock
Passed peacefully away at the Carmelite House in Grand Fall’s- Windsor, on Thursday, June 27, 2013, George Hiscock from St. Chad’s in his 98th year. Predeceased by his wife of 69 years, Ena, in 2008, sister Maud, brothers, Eli and Sylvestor, son-in-law Gerald Prince. Left to mourn four daughters: Mary (Marvin) Penney, Bloomfield, Ivy Prince(Gerald) deceased, Gloria (Leonard) Durdle, and Cynthia (Geoff) Pretty, all of Grand-Falls Windsor, 11 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, sisters-in-law Ruth Hiscock and Rita King, nieces, nephews and a large circle of family and friends. Rested at Oram’s Funeral Home, Eastport with visitation Friday evening from 7-9pm and Saturday 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral was held on Sunday at 2:30pm from St. James Anglican Church, St. Chad’s with interment at the Anglican Cemetery. Flowers gratefully accepted or donations in his memory to St. Jame’s Church or The Carmelite House.
