STUBBERT: The family of Augusta Stubbert, wish to announce her passing on Saturday, June 29, 2013 at her residence, the Sunnyside Advent Care Center in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan into the presence of her Saviour and Lord. She accepted Jesus early in her life – “to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord” - and was a member of the First Baptist Church, Saskatoon, SK. The funeral service was held in Centreville, Cape Sable Island, NS on Friday, July 5, 2013 at the Old Centreville Baptist Church, with interment at Fair Haven Memorial Gardens, Moncton. Surviving are her daughters Nancy (Crawford) Brewer of Moncton, NB, and their children Stephen, Joel and Jillian; Ruth (Paul) Moore of Grand Rapids, MI and their children Michelle, Michael, Matthew and David; son Paul (Janice) Stubbert of Edmonton, AB and their daughter Shayna; six great grandchildren: Ashley, Jonathan, Jacob, Abigail, Meghan and Lauren; sisters Ellen (Ernest) Nickerson, Stoney Island, NS and Bernice Newell, Centreville, CSI, NS; brother Harold (Erma) Smith of Central Argyle, NS; numerous nieces, nephews and their families. She was predeceased by her husband Haynes in 1976, her son David in 1968, her father Harvey Smith in 1969 and her mother Ena Smith in 1979 and by two brothers Bernard Smith in 1994 and Edgar Smith in 1996. Augusta loved travelling and spending time with her family of whom she was very proud. She had a tremendous zest for life.
