STEVENSON: Bonnie Louise Stevenson, age 47, passed away June 27, 2013 in Swift Current. A Memorial Service, with family, close friends and work colleges was held Thursday, July 4, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. from the Chapel of Warren's Funeral With Barbara Wiebe officiating. The Interment Service took place at Hillcrest Cemetery in Shaunavon. Bonnie is survived by her son Tyler and his wife Lori Dawn; grandson Keaton; mother Kay Stevenson; sisters Rose Willman (Kurt Klassen) and Marg (Mike) Berquist; brother Blaine (Shonda) Stevenson; nieces and nephews Dawn Berquist (Martin Stajniak), Tanya Willman (Daniel Sawatsky), Darci (Chris) Worsley; Trevor Willman (Rochele Ronning); MacKenzie Stevenson; great nieces and nephews Shayna and Terryn Ronning-Willman and Corbin and Montana Stajniak. She was predeceased by her father Thomas Stevenson, brother-in-law Keith Willman and Niece Aleigha Willman. Bonnie was born on July 23, 1965 in Shaunavon, Sk. She attended school in Shaunavon from Kindergarten to Grade 12. She headed off to Brandon for the summer to work in the Kirwan Family Bakery. She moved back to Shaunavon and worked at various jobs always keeping busy. She fell in love and moved to Fir Mountain as a ranch hand for a year. It wasn't her thing so she ventured out to Eston to work in public service for a couple of years. She headed back to Swift Current to be closer to her family when she decided to have her own family. The joy of her life, Tyler, was born February 3, 1990. Her total independence shone even back then, as she took a taxicab to the hospital and called the family and friends with the good news later. Bonnie then attended Cypress Hills College and obtained her office administration certificate. She was offered a job as a secretary when she finished and she seized the opportunity to do something new. She stayed with the college through many changes until her final position as Administrative Assistant with Great Plains College. In her spare time Bonnie was an avid reader with crates of books around. She also enjoyed bingo and loved every family event, especially when the family expanded with Tyler bringing Lori Dawn and their bundle of joy Keaton in to the family. Bonnie was a very proud grandma. Twenty years sees a lifetime of change and a lot of dedication. The ability to organize events and function made her the go to person and queen of potluck. There has not been a kinder more gentle woman, who never held a grudge and the word "no" was seldom in her vocabulary. Her attitude of Let's find a way to make it happen or find the right person to help, kept her busy all day with evening reserved for her family. She was only a phone call away and no matter what she was doing, she was there to help. Bonnie will leave a hole in everybody's heart that knew her and nobody can ever fill it. She was one in a million. In her memory, memorial donations may be made to the Great Plains College Sundogs or the Swift Current Women's Safe Shelter. Warren's Funeral Home in care of arrangements.
