Peacefully at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, on Tuesday, July 9, 2013, of Genevieve Keefe (nee Carragher) of Kinkora, in her 89th year. Loving wife of Leonard Keefe (deceased). Cherished mother of Leonard (Jean), Colleen (deceased) (Leonard Malone), Brian (Lou-Anne), Marion (Doug Clorey), Terry (Janice), Ron (Susan), Blair (Kathy), Dr. Janice (late William Fisher) and Dr. Greg (Debbie). Dear grandmother of Kelley (Ryan Livingstone), Karen (Robert Duffy) Shaun (Dr. Alicia Sherry), Leslie Malone, Jason Malone (fiancée Mary Beth Younker), Heather (Aaron Rogers), Amanda (Mike Gaudet), Kerri-Anne, John Clorey (Julie), Christina Clorey, Monica Pearce (Llijah), Clara Clorey, Lauren , Ryan, Daniel, Melissa (Alf Marshall), Mary Jane (Scott MacCallum), Patrick, Carey, Alexis, Sydney, Liam Fisher, Genny, Alison and Ben. Great-grandmother of 14. Sister in-law of Lency Carragher, Kathleen Murphy (late Bill), Mary Maurice Keefe, Mary Earl Keefe, Bine Keefe Bourque, Hermine Keefe and Mary Curley (O’Leary). Predeceased by her parents, John P. and Flora (McDonald) Carragher, brother, Frank, sisters, Mildred Smith (Stephen) and Bernadette Cahill Peters (George), brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Fr. Wilfred, Jack (Mary), Sr. Mary Angela, Sr. Marion, Earl, Maurice, Leslie (Helen), Gerald (Ursuline), Elmer, and Lorne. Genny will be greatly missed and fondly remembered by her many friends and relatives for her warmth, strength and hospitality. Resting at Kinkora Place for visiting hours on Friday, July 12, 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 9 p.m. The funeral will be held on Saturday, July 13, with funeral mass at St. Malachy’s Church, Kinkora, at 10:30 a.m. If so desired, memorial contributions may be made to the St. Malachy’s Cemetery Fund or the charity of your choice.
