It is with great sadness that the family of the late Joseph Michael Brown announce his passing in Stephenville on Wednesday, July 10, 2013 at the age of 65 years. He will be sadly missed by his loving wife, Maude; two daughters: Lorraine (Roger) Wiseman, Angela Jane (Terry) Mercer, all of Brampton, Ontario; three brothers: Robert Brown of Fort McMurray, Alberta, Wayne Ward and Pat Ward, both of Brampton, Ontario; three sisters: Debbie Ward of Stephenville, Lisa Griffin of Brampton, Ontario, Shirley Jesso of Port au Port; three grandchildren: Arun Adhya, Neeshali Adhya, Shawna Mercer; and he will also be missed by his godchild Angela Ward, as well as a large circle of relatives and friends. He was ­predeceased by his son, Daniel Robert Brown; his grandson, Terry Joseph Mercer; his sister, Mary Cole. Friends may call at Russell’s Funeral Home on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will take place on Saturday, July 13th at 10:00 a.m. at St. Stephen’s Parish, West Street, Stephenville with cremation to follow. As expressions of sympathy, flowers are greatly ­appreciated or donations may be made in his memory to the Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital Foundation.
