Fay Rewerts born to Art and Nellie Rusk of Kenville, Manitoba on November 11, 1939, married John Rewerts July 15, 1961, raised two children Elan and Boyd (Nicole), enjoyed one very special granddaughter, Katelyn, and step-grandchildren, Andrea, Lana, Calvin, Andrew, and Christopher. Fay attended grades 1-11 in Kenville, Manitoba. She moved with family to Pennant and graduated from Pennant School. She received her certified nursing assistant course from Saskatoon and worked in Central Butte and Cabri. She retired from nursing and worked with John on the farm. In 1986 she and Boyd moved to Swift Current while Boyd attended grades 10-12. Fay loved camping, curling, travelling, making Barbie cloths, furniture, wood-working, and later took up cross-stitching, dinosaur digging, and stayed interested in the farm. She loved Christmas, her TV, curling, the Roughriders, and was very good at Trivial Pursuit. Fay was involved in Abbey community events. She was a member of the Rebekah Lodge, and ladies auxiliary Legion #222. She is predeceased by her parents, Art and Nellie Rusk, husband, John Rewerts, and two brothers, Keith and Ken Rusk. She is survived by her daughter Elan, son Boyd (Nicole), granddaughter Katelyn Rewerts, and two sisters, Marilyn Staples and Debra McCullough. Fay passed away July 6th, in Swift Current Cypress Regional Hospital with her family by her side. Celebration of Life service was held on July 13th at the St Stephen's Anglican Church, Swift Current. Officiated by Reverend Eleanor Rockabar. Interment was a family service in Abbey, SK on July 14th. Warren's Funeral Home in care of arrangements.
