LOVERIN- It is with heavy hearts that the family of Robert Brian Loverin, age 69 of Swift Current, SK, announce his passing on July 13, 2013. Bob is predeceased by his father Harold Loverin in 1989, his mother Florence Loverin in 2001, and his mother-in-law Alma Rouleau in 2012. He is survived by his his wife, Marie Loverin (nee Rouleau) of 49 years; his daughters, Darlene (Everton) Miller, Doreen (Ray) Fiset, Michelle (John) Cheung, Kelly (Bob) Rousseaux; and his son Cory; their families Kendra (Nathan) Miller, Janelle (Jared) Hagen, Racquel Miller, Amber (Jarrod) Gader, Spencer and Janai, Kristie (Devin) Watteyne, Hunter and Hallie, Mathew an Michael Cheung, Cody and Taylor Rousseaux, Caleb, Kiera and Maya Loverin; and his sister Gail (Bill) Sherwin. Bob was born in Kincaid, SK on July 6, 1944, to Harold and Florence Loverin (nee Coleman). He started school in Hazenmore and attended high school in Kincaid. In November 1963, Bob married Marie Rouleau of Ponteix, and they settled in Hazenmore, where Bob was employed as a carpenter. In 1965 he began working at the Federal Grain Elevator, which was later bought out by the Saskatchewan Wheat Pool. In 1976 Bob took up farming full time in the Hazenmore area. He enjoyed working the land; he took pride in a nice crop and could be seen checking his crops just about every evening. He wasn't fearful of broadening his horizons and was one of the first in the area to experiment with pulse crops. After failing health, he opted for an early retirement in 2003. Bob and Marie then took up residence in Swift Current. They have been fortunate to spend the past 17 winters in Yuma, Arizona, where they enjoyed the warm weather, golfing, and the opportunity to meet new people. Family was important to Bob; he enjoyed many gatherings with his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. He kept busy gardening, wood working, travelling and painting. A Prayer Service was held on Tuesday, July 16, 2013 at 7:30 p.m. and the funeral service was held on Wednesday July 17, 2013, at 11:00 a.m., both were held from Christ the Redeemer Roman Catholic Church, with Father Richard Jasiak MSF officiating.
