It is with great sadness that the family of the late Theresa Power (Moriarity), 78 years of age, announce her passing on Sunday, July 21, 2013, at the Placentia Health Centre. She is predeceased by her husband, Lawrence; son, Larry; her parents: Thomas and Anastasia Moriarity; sisters: Dorothy, Alice, Anne, Joan; brothers: James, Thomas, Michael and Cyril. Leaving to mourn are her children: Anne (Peter), Rose (Cyril), Yvonne (Billy), Greg, David (Dana) and daughter-in-law, Michelle. Also mourning her loss are her sisters: Nora and Peg; brother, Patrick, her nine grandchildren, one great-grandchild and a large circle of relatives and friends (especially Noreen Brennan and Bride Moriarity). A special thank-you to the staff of the Placentia Health Care Centre for the kindness they showed to Mom during her illness. Resting at Maher’s Funeral Home, Placentia, on Monday (3 - 9 p.m.) and Tuesday (3 - 9 p.m.). Mass of Christian burial to be held on Wednesday, July 24 at Holy Rosary Church, Freshwater, at 11 a.m. Flowers greatfully accepted. Cremation to follow.
