GLENDENNING, KENNETH - Kenneth Elmer Glendenning passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family on Wednesday, July 24, 2013. Kenneth was born in Little Branch, NB, he was the son of Alton Elmer Glendenning and Jane Elizabeth Jardine Watling. he was an Elder and past Clerk of Session for St. Paul's Presbyterian Church. He was a carpenter by trade and served in the RCAF both as a carpenter and Clerk Engineer before retiring and working for DND until he was 59. In his retirement he enjoyed carpentry work, gardening and their trips to Florida. He was predeceased by his wife Janet Verne (Taylor) Glendenning in May of this year. He is survived by his son Keith (Ruth), daughter Doreen Nicol (Bill) both of Napan; three granddaughters, Jennifer Maher (Harry), Lesley Glendenning (Alan) and Glenda Nicol (Matt); step-grandson Steven Nicol (Michelle); three great-grandsons; Aaron, Ethan and Andrew Maher; two brothers; Norman Glendenning (Jean) of Black River Bridge, Don Glendenning (Carol) of Charlottetown PEI, as well as many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his grandson, Derek Glendenning; sisters Margaret Virginia Glendenning, Grace Smith, Venetia Russell, Lillian Weeks, Elinor Taylor, and brothers Walter and John Glendenning.
Visitation will be at Maher's Funeral Home on Friday ,July 26 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. the funeral service will be held from St. Paul's Presbyterian Church, Black River Bridge on Saturday, July 27 at 2:00 pm. As expressions of sympathy, donations to St Paul's Presbyterian Church or Black River Cemetery would be appreciated by the family.
