RAYMOND LEMIRE
Raymond Robert Lemire passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 23, 2013 with family by his side at the age of 95 and 7 months. He was born on December 24, 1917 at Eldred, SK. He lived 20 years of his life in Park Valley, SK and for the last 48 years Prince Albert was his home. He led a long and productive life, participating in the French community and in the Church community. Raymond and his wife Marie-Rose traveled and visited relatives in such varied places as British Columbia, Quebec and Rhode Island. Raymond is survived by his children Alice Cullen and children Gaëtane (Brian O’Dowd) [Simone, Shea], Darcy (Peter Mahon), Lucretia; Thérèse and children Riel, Jozel, Daltry; Paul (Brenda) and children Charles, Viviane (Angelo Tremonte) [Mateo, Rose], Catherine; Gisèle and children Ariane, Carline; Guy (Dominique Nicol); Arlette (Grant) Laird and children Suzanne [Noelle, Kai], Christine, Bridget [Luca], Gent; Julie; Louis (Francine) and children Anita, Véronique and Gilles; his brother Gilbert Lemire; his sisters-in-law Alda Boudreault and Sylvia Orieux; his brother-in-law Henri Sénécal as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife of 58 years Marie-Rose; his son-in-law Brian Cullen; his parents Bruno and Philomène Lemire; his brothers René, Roch, Paul; his parents-in-law Louis and Éva Orieux; his sister Claire Marcotte; his sisters-in-law Louisa Durette, Lucienne Sénécal, his brothers-in-law Gerry Orieux, André Orieux, Stan L’Heureux, Aimé Crossland, Marcel Durette, Ernest Finnigan, Cliff Hanson, Roland Marcotte, René Gaudette; his niece Irène Crossland,; his nephews Gerard Durette and Martin Duret; great-nephew Matthew Dortman. Prayer service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 28 from Sacred Heart Cathedral, 1401 – 4 Avenue West. Sister Renée Buliard will officiate. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, July 29 from Sacred Heart Cathedral by The Most Reverend Bishop Albert Thévenot, Bishop of Prince Albert. Interment will take place following the lunch at the Debden Cemetery at 1:30 p.m. It is the family’s request that memorial donations may be made to the Sacred Heart Renovation Fund or masses in Raymond’s memory.
