HORNE, DOUGLAS - Douglas Frederick William Horne passed away at his home in Upper Brighton on Thursday, July 25, 2013. He was born August 13, 1938 and was the son of the late James and Mary Horne. Doug is survived by his wife, Sadie Horne of Upper Brighton, NB; children, Greg (Sharon Townes) Horne of Dartmouth, NS, Jeffrey Horne of Dartmouth, NS and Lori-Anne Horne of Victoria, BC; grandson, Spencer Tweedie of Victoria, BC; sisters, Priscilla (Conrad Hadlock) Horne-Hadlock of West Bolton, QC, June (Murray) Call of Knowlton, QC and Valerie (John) Godue of Sutton, QC; brothers, Russell (Pirette) Horne of Knowlton, QC and Stanley (Julie) Horne of West Bolton, QC; nieces and nephews.
By request there was no visitation. A service to honour Doug's life was held at his home at 49 Hallett Hill Road on Saturday, July 27 at 1:00 pm with Rev. Robyn Cumming officiating. If so desired, donations can be made to the NB RCMP Veterans Association Scholarship Fund. Arrangements are under the care of the Britton Funeral Home, 2 High Street, Hartland. www.brittonfh.ca
