O'REILLY, FRANK - Frank O'Reilly, 62, of Miramichi passed away suddenly at his home on Monday, July 22, 2013. He was the son of the late John and Jeanne (Kennard) O'Reilly. He will be sadly missed by his ten siblings, Maureen (Ron) of Truro, NS, Barbara (David) of Miramichi, Stephen (Barbara) of Bartibogue, Diane, of Miramichi, Kevin (Mary) of Timberlea, N.S., Janet (Kevin) of Miramichi, Edward (Darlene) of Sackville, N.B., Gail (Mike) of Loggieville, David (Demning) of Miramichi and Shaun (Juanita) of Miramichi, as well as several nieces and nephews. Frank was predeceased by his infant daughter, Shannon. Frank was retired Corporal with the RCAF, where he served twenty years as a Air Safety Technician. He was also a former employee of Miramichi Timber Resources, Ciba-Geigy and most recently he was employed at NBCC as a commissionaire. One of Frank's proudest achievements was receiving his BA from STU.
Visitation was held at Maher's Funeral Home Miramichi on Thursday, July 25th from 2 to 4pm and 7 to 9pm. Funeral was celebrated at St Michael's Basilica on Friday, July 26th at 11am with Fr John Fraser Celebrant, Con Celebrant Fr Allison Mahoney. Active pallbearers were Stephen O'Reilly, Edward O'Reilly, Shaun O'Reilly, Kevin O'Reilly, David O'Reilly and Tim Savage. Honorary Pallbearers were Ronnie Barry, Johnny Moar, Ray Carter, Billy Sargent, Ray Moar, Ricky Sargent, Thomas Breen, John Ryan, Neil MacDonald, Wayne MacDonald, Mike O'Reilley, Jimmy Blakely, Greg McLaughlin, Ricky Melanson, Richard McLaughlin, Blair McLaughlin, and Kevin Flanagan. Readers were: Shaun O'Reilly, Jamie Gibbs and Darci O'Reilly. Eulogy by Lourdes O'Reilly Hymns were by Saint Michael's Choir Organist Norma Sugden. Hymns were Here I am, Rest In God Alone, Panis Angelicus, Prayer of St Francis, Songs of the Angels, Soloist Lourdes O'Reilly sang Ava Maria. Soloist Mike Davis sang On Eagles Wings, and Altar Server Aidan Barry. Interment was in St Michael's Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy donations to the St Michael's Building Fund, Miramichi SPCA or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
