BROWNELL, DONNA - Donna Gladys Brownell, age 56, of Beaverbank passed away Friday, July 26, 2013, in QEII Health Sciences Centre. Born in Moncton to the late Rita Parker. She was a much beloved wife, mother, sister, aunt, and grandmother and will be deeply missed by her husband of 38 years, William (Bill); sons, Kevin (Angela) Stillwater Lake, James, Lower Sackville, NS; sisters, Helen Gladstone (Doug) Moncton, NB, Ruth Parker (Ross), Riverview, NB; grandchildren, Carson, Morgan and Connor, Jacob; several nieces and nephews She was predeceased by brother Leon Parker and sister Rose Farrer and beloved cat Duncan. Donna was caring and compassionate toward everyone who crossed her path. She loved spending time in Cassie Cape NB during the summers with her family and friends especially her grandchildren. Donna took great pride in her flower gardens and knitting for her grandchildren and was a ferocious reader sometimes reading multiple books at once. She had a passion for numbers and was very proud of her work at Precision Biologic Inc., where she worked many late nights on spreadsheets and analyzing reports. Donna will be remembered for her smile, laugh, dedication to friends and family, kindness, and positive outlook on life.
Cremation has taken place. A celebration of Donna's life will be held at 1pm Friday, August 2 in Atlantic Funeral Homes, 125 Sackville Drive, Lower Sackville with a reception to follow. A private family interment will take place in Oakridge Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers Donna's family would ask that donations be made to the Canadian Liver Foundation. The family would like to thank the nurses and staff at QEII, the Dialysis Unit at the Dickson Building, the nursing staff at VG site 6B and also to the transplant team for their dedication and tireless effort.
