HEFLER, DAVID "DAVE" CREIGHTON - It is with great sadness that the family of Dave Hefler of Quispamsis, beloved husband of Geralda (Meunier) Hefler, announces his death, which occurred on Wednesday, August 7, 2013, at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born on October 14, 1924 in Peel Parish, NB, he was the son of the late David and Mary (Goodine) Hefler. Prior to his retirement, Dave was employed in janitorial services with Building Services Limited. He loved nature and had many wonderful memories of his time spent fishing, camping and hunting. Dave also enjoyed a good game of cards with family and friends. He will be sadly missed. Besides his wife, Geralda of 40 years, Dave is also survived by his children, David Stanley Hefler of Shelburne, NS and Donna Fisher (Derek) of Saint John; three grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Phyllis Hefler and niece, Gayle Keeran (John) all of Ohio; as well as several cousins. He was predeceased by his twin brother, Robert, brother in infancy, Billy and daughter-in-law, Catherine.
Resting at Kennebecasis Community Funeral Home, 152 Pettingill Road, Quispamsis (849-2119), with visitation on Friday, August 9, 2013 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:30 PM. A funeral service will be held from Kennebecasis Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, August 10, 2013, at 2:00 PM, immediately followed by a reception. A private interment will take place in Hampton Rural Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances to a charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
